Mystery Peak - October 8 2023

Fannin Range, North Vancouver, BC
1230m

This TR picks up from that of Theta Peak, and will be rather brief, as it was a rather brief excursion. From Brockton Point, it was a simple descent down to 1200m where I saw a random building, and a small flagged trail behind it that allowed me to go up the north side directly instead of curling around on the road.

Small building, behind which I found a trail up

At the top, there was a random hut-like building, the top of the chairlift, a family taking in the views, and a little rock feature I decided to scramble for the summit vs walking up (which was also an option). The whole excursion took, like, less than 10 minutes.

Random hut, doesn't look like a usual building I've seen on a ski resort
Ski resort stuff with the Grouse peaks behind

"I was here"
A pretty steep, if completely unnecessary scramble

After this, it was on to the next "peak", De Pencier Bluff.
