ski mountaineering Claimstake Mountain - March 22 2025 A fun mountain with mellow to moderate slopes great for skiing, a short ridge traverse to make the peakbagging a little more interesting, and while it has a long road approach, it's mostly downhill, so it can be well-mitigated with skis. 10/10 would recommend
ski mountaineering Mount Henning - March 16 2025 A small, easy, and gentle-sloped peak on the east side of the Coquihalla Highway, this peak is popular amongst sledders, but does offer some nice ski lines, and is easily accessed due to their grooming of the approach road
hiking Pillchuck Peak - February 17 2025 Probably due to the lack of a trail and some land ownership concerns, this Squamish-area peak isn't very popular and is bordering on being a trashbag, but it makes for a quick outing if you're looking for a summit nearby
hiking Hunter Hill - February 9 2025 Another of the small p100 peaks north of Mission, Hunter Hill makes for a nice easy peak if you need a quick summit or are otherwise limited in the difficulty of hike you're prepared for.
hiking Bear Mountain (Mission) - February 9 2025 My first peak in a couple months due to injury, this is a perfectly bite-sized summit for those whose fitness is a bit lacking, or who just need something quick+easy. The summit does require a minute or two of bushwhacking to attain, however.
ski mountaineering Gravell Peak - December 1 2024 A fun peak with a great ski line on the eastern end of the Mount Currie ridge. Bit of a bushy start, but well worth the bushwhack thereafter
ski mountaineering Little Muddy Peak - November 30 2024 A short detour from the northern side of Manning Park Ski Resort, this is an easy addition to a peakbagging day in/around the area, be it on skis or snowshoes
ski mountaineering Bojo Mountain - November 30 2024 An easy ski or snowshoe peak on the north side of the Manning Park Ski Resort, making for a great summit for poorer weather, harsh avalanche conditions, or just "if you're already skiing there" and get a peakbagging itch. Easily combined with Grassy Mountain, which is en-route from the resort
ski mountaineering Grassy Mountain (Manning Park) - November 30 2024 An easy ski or snowshoe peak on the north side of the Manning Park Ski Resort, making for a great summit for poorer weather, harsh avalanche conditions, or just "if you're already skiing there" and get a peakbagging itch
hiking Ample Mountain - November 11 2024 A fairly tame peak with respect to stats, but if one doesn't know about the decent trails that are present, then it can turn into a bit of a bushwhacking adventure. Great views at the top for your effort, though (not that we saw much of them)
hiking Mount Kobau - November 10 2024 A mostly-driveable but prominent peak west of Osoyoos and east of Keremeos, makes for a good easy hike with the less-suffering-inclined, or an easy peak to bag when the conditions don't allow for anything more challenging
hiking Baldy Mountain - November 10 2024 An easy ski tour up and down a ski resort to a prominent summit, with no avalanche terrain. Great for a day when the snow is there but the weather isn't giving you much else
hiking Mount Bonaparte - November 9 2024 A gentle hike to a fairly prominent peak in north-central Washington, with nice views from the lookout tower on top.
hiking The Camels Back - October 26 2024 A less-frequented summit above Pemberton Meadows, but (for now) it has a fairly high access road that makes the hike short, if a bit wild with no trail and lots of deadfall
hiking Magnesia Peak - October 13 2024 A small peak above Magnesia Meadows along the Howe Sound Crest Trail, this isn't really worth going for by itself, but when you're nearby, you may as well tack it on (if you're a die-hard peakbagger, anyways). Bit bushy for the average hiker
hiking Brunswick Mountain - October 13 2024 A long but technically simple hike to the highest peak in the Howe Sound Crest Trail area, Brunswick Mountain is a decent objective for a budding hiker, or for more efficiency-minded peakbaggers, a great peak to combine with others to maximize the long approach.
scrambling Mount Hanover - October 13 2024 The second-highest peak behind Brunswick in the Howe Sound Crest area, this makes for a pretty involved scramble, though the long approach may deter some. I recommend combining it with some others along the crest for added value!
hiking Frosty Mountain (East Summit) - October 6 2024 The easier, lower, and more popular of the twin summits of Frosty Mountain. This is a lengthy but easy hike on a good trail for 98% of the distance, with great views, notable for golden larches in the fall
hiking Windy Joe Mountain - October 6 2024 An easy hike along an old lookout road, which is an accessible (and bikeable) peak by itself. Combining it with the nearby Frosty Mountain is a common value combo for peakbaggers
scrambling Snowshoe Peak - September 28 2024 A somewhat out-of-the-way peak in NW Montana that makes for a great scramble. Being an ultra means it has excellent views, and the remote location makes for a more rugged ascent than many other American ultras
hiking Camelshoof Peak - September 15 2024 A short+steep hike up to a decently prominent peak looking over Lillooet and the Fountain Valley, with some fun driving to get there too!
trashbagging Iron Mountain - September 14 2024 One of a few little hills in Maple Ridge that make for a good trashbagging adventure on a rainy day. It seems the SE side of the mountain hosts some biking trails as well
trashbagging Silver Hill - September 14 2024 A small neighbourhood "peak" in western Mission, perfect for some rainy day trashbagging
hiking Mount Outram - September 8 2024 A long but easy hike at the west end of Manning Park, just outside of Hope. Great views and a bite-sized scramble at the top for the (probable) true summit
mountaineering Mount Cline (and Mount Owen) - September 1 2024 A nice, day-trippable 11000er with a fun crux. Long slog, though. Mount Owen is a bonus peak, though honestly I'd not recommend it due to the difficulty of the downclimb, which far exceeds the crux of Cline itself
