Mount Beautiful - June 4 2022

Coast Mountains, Anmore, British Columbia
1261m

This is a continuation of our Journey along Dilly-Dally loop, specifically the 2nd peak on our trip, picking up from the TR for Tangled Summit.

It is also a fairly short one. This was a fairly uneventful 45 minute trek from the previous peak. All pretty snowy, enough that you don't punch through anywhere. Pathfinding was easier here than the previous leg since we had tracks to follow, so that was nice.

The one event of note was that those tracks were from someone coming the other way, so on the uphill, about halfway there, we ended up going straight up following their descent tracks, where the trail deviates around to climber's left to shallow things out a bit. This was tiring, involved a lot of kickstepping, and was very unnecessary. I recommend following the trail's path instead of the tracks of someone heading downhill blindly.

Obligatory "I was here"

As we were eating, we did get to see an Eagle flying pretty close, and I managed to snap a pic before it left, so that was cool.

After relaxing for a while, we headed out at about 2:30 toward the 4th peak of the day, Dilly Dally Summit.
