Mount St Piran - July 24 2022
Bow Range, Lake Louise, Alberta
2633m
After a quick bag of Little Beehive (trip context and report to that point can be found there), we felt pretty good and wanted to continue our pace, so just after 7am we departed from the peak of Little Beehive and made our way back to the fork for St Piran. This was about a 10 minute descent, then a fork to a slightly narrower but still well-defined path, which was also just a bit steeper than the main trails to this point.
From the fork, it's a short walk up in the forest followed by a somewhat foreshortening set of switchbacks up to the summit. This is a steeper walk up than on the Little Beehive, but we still had energy and managed to gain elevation at a slightly faster rate according to my Garmin, and we reached the summit at just under 2 hours in the journey, around 8am. Here we took a few photos, debated taking the Col down to Mount Niblock, or just heading down the path as prescribed (which it turns out wasn't really much of a choice, the following post will detail that), and set out after about 15 minutes.
Up next, Mount Niblock!
